After beginning his career in technology, Michael transitioned to the financial services industry in 1998, accepting an invitation to join LPL Financial. Michael and Lou began collaborating in 2011, and Michael officially joined Berteotti Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. a year later. Michael holds both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Consultant designations, as well as several FINRA registrations including the Series 7 and 24 held through LPL Financial.

Michael is a native of New Bethlehem and a graduate of Grove City College. He married his high school sweetheart, Shelly, and they live in Zelienople where they spend their time trying to keep up with their four children. Given the opportunity Michael can be easily distracted by anything sports related, with a sometimes-obsessive affinity for each of Pittsburgh's black-and-gold teams.
